Getting Started
What is TradeLab.gg?
TradeLab.gg is a professional trading scenario training platform that uses real historical market data to help traders practice decision-making without risking capital. You work with actual past price action, placing entries, stop losses, and take profit levels as scenarios play out candle by candle, just like real trading.
How does the training work?
You start by defining your trading strategy using natural language or our rule builder. The platform searches through historical market data to find scenarios that match your rules. You then practice on these scenarios by observing price action, identifying signals, and placing your entry, stop loss, and take profit levels. The scenario plays out to show whether you hit your targets, stop loss, or neither, with detailed performance metrics tracked for each trade.
Do I need trading experience to use TradeLab?
No prior trading experience is required. The platform is designed for both beginners learning the fundamentals and experienced traders refining their strategies. You can start with the Free plan and upgrade any time as your needs grow.
Is this real trading with real money?
No, this is training only. TradeLab uses real historical market data, but no real money is involved. It's a practice environment designed to help you build skills, test strategies, and improve your decision-making before risking capital in live markets.
Account & Subscription
What's the difference between Free, Core, and Pro plans?
The Free plan lets you try the experience with 10 scenarios on BTC/5m timeframe. Core ($19/month) gives you unlimited scenarios on BTC and ETH with the 5-minute timeframe. Pro ($49/month) unlocks all markets (including future additions) and all timeframes (5m, 15m, 30m, 1h). Both paid plans include AI-powered strategy compilation, saved scenario sets, comprehensive performance tracking, and results dashboard. You can cancel anytime.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Your access will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, you'll retain access to all Core features until the period you've paid for expires.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact support to discuss your situation. Partial month refunds are generally not available for existing subscriptions.
Can I change my subscription plan?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time through your account settings. Changes take effect immediately, and billing is prorated based on the time remaining in your current billing cycle.
Strategy & Scenario Generation
How do I create a trading strategy?
You can create strategies in two ways: using natural language description or our visual rule builder. With natural language, simply describe your strategy (e.g., 'Buy when EMA 9 crosses above EMA 20, RSI is above 55, and price is above VWAP'). Our AI compiles this into structured trading rules. The rule builder lets you visually select indicators, set conditions, and configure parameters for precise control.
What indicators and conditions are supported?
TradeLab supports EMA (Exponential Moving Average), SMA (Simple Moving Average), RSI (Relative Strength Index), VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price), ATR (Average True Range), and volume indicators. You can set conditions for crossovers, price position relative to indicators, RSI levels, slope requirements, and more. The platform clearly indicates if any part of your strategy uses unsupported elements.
What are scenario sets?
Scenario sets are collections of scenarios generated from the same market conditions and strategy rules. Each set can contain multiple scenarios that match your criteria. You can create named sets, organize them by strategy, track performance metrics per set, and manage your training library. Sets can be restarted to generate fresh scenarios from the same conditions.
How many scenarios can I generate?
Core subscribers can generate unlimited scenarios and create unlimited scenario sets. The platform searches through our extensive historical market data database to find all scenarios matching your strategy rules, subject to the limits you set (such as maximum results or date ranges).
Training & Practice
How does the scenario training flow work?
Each scenario follows a structured training flow: Observe phase (review historical price action), Planning phase (signal appears, you plan your trade), Armed phase (set entry, stop loss, and take profit levels), In Trade phase (monitor as price moves), and Complete phase (see outcome and R-multiple). This process trains you to make decisions under uncertainty, just like real trading.
Can I skip scenarios?
Yes, you can skip scenarios that don't meet your trading rules or criteria. Skipped scenarios are tracked separately and don't affect your win rate or R-multiple calculations. This teaches discipline by reinforcing that not every setup is tradeable, even when it matches your initial criteria.
What performance metrics are tracked?
TradeLab tracks comprehensive performance metrics including win rate, average R-multiple, total R, number of wins and losses, current winning or losing streak, profit factor, and expectancy. Metrics are available both per scenario set and globally across all your training. Skips are tracked separately and don't impact win rate or R calculations.
What is an R-multiple?
R-multiple is a risk-adjusted performance metric that shows your profit or loss relative to your initial risk (the distance from entry to stop loss). For example, if you risk $100 and make $200, that's a 2R trade. This metric helps you evaluate performance regardless of position size and is essential for comparing strategy effectiveness.
